How do I log a workout?

Tap the "+" button on the main screen to start a new workout. Search or browse the exercise library to add exercises, then enter your weight and reps for each set. Tap "Finish Workout" when you're done.

Can I add my own custom exercises?

Yes. In the exercise library, tap "Add Custom Exercise" to create an exercise with a name and target muscle group. It will appear alongside the built-in exercises.

How do I view my workout history?

Navigate to the History tab. You'll see a calendar view with dots on days you trained. Tap any day to see the full workout detail including exercises, sets, reps, and weight.

How do I use the rest timer?

After logging a set, the rest timer starts automatically based on your preferred rest period. You can adjust the default rest time in Settings. Tap the timer to dismiss it early.

Does the app need an internet connection?

No. IRON LOG works completely offline. All your data is stored locally on your device. You never need an internet connection to log workouts, view history, or track progress.

How do I delete all my data?

You can delete all app data by deleting IRON LOG from your device. Since all data is stored locally, removing the app removes everything. You can also clear app data from your device's Settings under the IRON LOG app entry.

The app crashed or is not responding

Try these steps in order:

  • Force-close the app and reopen it.
  • Restart your device.
  • Make sure you are running the latest version of IRON LOG from the App Store.
  • Make sure your device is running a supported version of iOS.

If the issue persists, please contact us with a description of what happened and your device model and iOS version.

Can I export my workout data?

This feature is planned for a future update. Currently, workout data is stored locally on your device.

Is the app free?

Yes. IRON LOG is free to download and use. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases required for core functionality.
